How to turn a voice note into calendar events

Sometimes it is faster to just say it — while you are walking, driving, or between meetings. Here is how to speak your plans out loud and have them land on your iPhone calendar as proper events and tasks, in any language, without typing a word.
The short answer
- Record a voice note in Aide Calendar — tap the capture button, then the microphone — or share a voice memo from another app.
- Aide transcribes it and pulls out the events and tasks — date, time, place, people, alerts.
- Review and save. One tap puts everything on your calendar.
Dictation on the iPhone keyboard only types words into a text box — it does not understand a date or build an event. This turns what you said into a finished calendar entry.
Step by step
- Open Aide Calendar and tap the capture button (the ✦).
- Tap the microphone and just talk — "Lunch with Sara next Thursday at 1 at Kinta, and remind me to send the invoice on Friday."
- Tap stop. In a few seconds Aide shows what it heard, sorted into events and tasks.
- Review — fix anything it misheard, drop what you do not want.
- Tap Save. It is on your calendar with alerts set, synced across your iPhone and iPad.

What it understands
- Any language, auto-detected — speak one, or several mixed together, and it sorts it out.
- Events and tasks in one go — "meet…" becomes an event, "remind me to…" becomes a task.
- Relative dates — "tomorrow at 5", "next Tuesday", worked out in your own time zone.
- Recurring plans — "every Monday morning" becomes one repeating event.
- People and numbers — names become attendees; a spoken phone number is saved so you can tap to call.
Tips
Say the date and time clearly
"Thursday the 12th at 3pm" leaves less room for doubt than "Thursday". If a time is ambiguous, you will just tweak it on the review screen before saving.
Batch your week in one note
You do not need a separate note per event. Reel off the whole week and let Aide split it into individual events and tasks — you review them all at once.
Mixed languages are fine
If you naturally switch languages mid-sentence, just talk normally. Detection handles the mix; there is no setting to change.
Common problems
It misheard a name or place
Tap the field on the review screen and correct it before saving. Nothing is added to your calendar until you tap Save.
Nothing came back
If the note had no date or task in it — just a thought — there is nothing to schedule, so Aide returns nothing. Add a time ("…on Friday at 4") and it will.
