How to never miss a sales follow-up
Updated September 2026
The follow-up you forget is the deal you lose. Aide turns any message into a reminder that actually pings you.
A client says "call me next week" or "send the quote Friday", and you mean to — but it lives in a chat you'll never scroll back to. Aide Calendar reads the message and sets the reminder for you, with the timing and the phone number attached, so the follow-up happens on its own schedule instead of from memory.
The short answer
- Screenshot or share the message where the follow-up lives.
- Aide creates the task — what to do, when — with an alert.
- Review and save. You get the nudge when it's due; nothing slips.
Step by step
- When a client says "chase me next week" or "send it Friday", screenshot the chat or tap Share → Aide Calendar.
- Aide reads it and creates a task with a due date and an alert — plus the meeting too, if the message sets one.
- Review — adjust the timing or the alert lead-time to fit your cadence, drop anything you don't need.
- Tap Save. It's on your calendar, synced across your iPhone and iPad, and it reminds you when it's due.
What it pulls out
- The action — "send the proposal", "call back", "follow up on pricing" becomes a task.
- The timing — "Friday", "next week", "in three days", worked out in your own time zone.
- Recurring follow-ups — "check in every month" becomes one repeating reminder, not dozens.
- The person and number — attached to the reminder, so you tap to call when it fires.
- Meeting and follow-up together — one capture, both come out sorted.
Tips
Capture it the second it's said
The follow-ups you lose are the ones you meant to log later. Screenshot the message in the moment — it takes two seconds and it's out of your head for good.
Let one chat become a meeting and a to-do
A call that ended with "let's meet Tuesday, and send me the deck first" gives you an event and a task. Capture the whole thing once and Aide splits it.
Set the lead time that fits you
If you like a day's warning before a follow-up is due, set the alert that way on the review screen — so the nudge lands while there's still time to act.
Common problems
No time came through
If the message never named a day, there's nothing to schedule against. Add one on the review screen ("…by Friday") and the reminder is set.
It set the wrong day
Vague wording ("early next week") can land a day off. Tap the date on the review screen to fix it — nothing is saved until you tap Save.
