Aide Calendar for ChatGPT

Updated August 2026

Short version: ChatGPT can put things straight into your calendar once you add the Aide Calendar app to it. Ask for an event or a task — typed out, or pasted in as a screenshot — and it saves to your calendar and syncs to your iPhone and iPad. It is free.

Can ChatGPT add events to my calendar?

Not by itself. ChatGPT can read a message and work out that it describes a meeting, but it cannot write to a calendar until you connect an app that can. Aide Calendar for ChatGPT is that app. You ask; it saves.

The work is split cleanly: ChatGPT does the reading and extraction, and Aide Calendar does the saving. We run no AI of our own on your messages.

What you need first

An Aide Calendar account, which you create in the free Aide Calendar app for iPhone and iPad. The ChatGPT app saves into that account — it is a second way to reach your calendar, not a replacement for it. Sign-in is with Apple, Google or email, and there is no password to remember.

How to connect ChatGPT to your calendar

  1. In ChatGPT, add the Aide Calendar app — that is the name it is listed under.
  2. Sign in with the email address on your Aide Calendar account.
  3. Enter the one-time code we email you. That is the connection done.

If it ever says you need to reconnect, your sign-in has expired — go to Settings → Apps → Aide Calendar in ChatGPT and sign in again. There is more on that in connector support.

What you can ask it to do

  • “Add an event: team meeting tomorrow at 6 pm”
  • “Add a task to submit the report by Friday 5 pm”
  • Upload a screenshot of a message, email or invitation and say “add this to my Aide Calendar”

You can save several things at once — up to 25 items in a single request — and a Saved ✓ card confirms exactly what went in, so nothing is added behind your back.

What actually gets saved

The whole event, not just a title. Whatever ChatGPT can find in what you gave it comes across:

  • Full detail — start and end time, venue, attendees with their phone and email, notes and any links.
  • Tasks too, with a due date and a priority.
  • Recurring events — daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or yearly, saved as one series rather than fifty-two separate entries, with an optional stop date.
  • All-day events, kept on the right day when you change time zone.
  • No duplicates — ask for the same thing twice and it recognises what is already there rather than double-booking you.
  • Reminders set from your Aide Calendar defaults, so a saved event alerts you the way your own events do.

Relative dates work because ChatGPT passes your time zone along: “tomorrow at 5” resolves to your tomorrow, not the server's.

Where the events end up

Straight into your Aide Calendar account, where they sync to your iPhone, iPad and any other device you are signed in on. The connector itself keeps no copy — it passes the event through and forgets it.

What it does not do

  • It does not see the rest of your ChatGPT conversation — only the specific event or task you ask to save.
  • It does not keep a copy of your events, their contents, attendees or attachments.
  • It does not handle payments, subscriptions or any purchase.
  • It is not a way to use Aide Calendar without the app — the account comes first.

Is it private?

The connector stores one thing: your sign-in — a session token, your Aide user id, and your reminder and duration preferences — encrypted at rest. Not your email address, not your events, not your conversations. Your calendar data lives in your Aide Calendar account and nowhere else. The full detail is in the connector Privacy Policy.

To disconnect at any time: Settings → Apps → Aide Calendar → Disconnect in ChatGPT. That revokes and removes the stored sign-in.
