Calendar widget for iPhone: your next event on the Home Screen
Updated September 2026
The Aide Calendar widget shows your next events and tasks on your Home Screen.
Adding it
- Press and hold an empty part of your Home Screen until the icons jiggle.
- Tap the + in the corner.
- Search for Aide Calendar.
- Swipe between the three sizes, pick one, and tap Add Widget.
- Tap Done.
Which size to pick
- Small — your next one item. Good beside other small widgets when you only want to know what's immediately ahead.
- Medium — your next three, under a heading that reads Today or Next up.
- Large — your next five, grouped under Overdue, Today, Tomorrow, and then a heading per day.
The large widget shows at most two overdue items, so today's always fit.
What each line shows
Every row gives you the title, then a second line with the details: the date, weekday and time, the person it's with, and the place. Times follow your iPhone's own setting, so you see 2:30 PM or 14:30 the way the rest of your phone does. The small size keeps the title and the time.
Events and tasks together
The widget shows both. A thin coloured bar on the left tells them apart — one colour for events, another for tasks — so you can see that the 3pm meeting and the quote you owe someone are both there in front of you.
When it's empty
When nothing is ahead, it says Nothing coming up — your schedule is clear.
Good to know
It says "Open Aide to sign in"
The widget reads what the app has saved. Open Aide Calendar, sign in, and it fills in.
It's showing yesterday's item
The widget reflects what's saved in the app. Open Aide once and it catches up.
Seeing more than five
The large widget is the deepest. For a full day, open the app itself.
Turn a screenshot, text, email, photo or voice note into calendar events and tasks — the date, time, place, people and phone number filled in for you. Free on iPhone and iPad, iOS 17+. No ads, no tracking.
