What do I need to run it?
Recording both cameras at once uses hardware available on iPhone XS and newer, running iOS 17 or later. On older iPhones the App will let you know that simultaneous dual-camera recording isn't supported by the device.
How do I record?
When prompted, allow access to the Camera and Microphone. Tap the red button to start recording, and tap it again to pause. You can pause and resume as many times as you like — each stretch is a clip. When you're done, tap Save and your clips are joined into one video and saved to your Photos.
How do I change the layout?
Open Effects and choose a layout: single camera, picture-in-picture (a floating bubble over the main camera), or split-screen side by side or top and bottom. In split-screen, drag the divider to change how the screen is shared. Tap Swap to switch which camera is the main one.
Can I move or resize the small camera?
Yes. In picture-in-picture, drag the bubble anywhere on screen and pinch to resize it. In Effects you can also set an exact size, choose the bubble's shape, round its corners, and add a border with your own color and thickness.
How does background removal work?
Turn on Remove Background in Effects (in picture-in-picture). The App keeps just the person from the small camera and places them over the main camera — no green screen needed. Size the cut-out from a small bubble up to the full frame, and tap Swap to choose which camera is cut out. Edge quality is best in good, even lighting.
How does Beauty work?
Set Beauty to Natural, Medium, or High in Effects. It smooths and gently brightens skin on whichever camera sees a face, while leaving eyes, hair, and the background sharp.
Can I mix single-camera and dual-camera clips?
Yes. Choose the single-camera layout for some clips and a dual layout for others within the same recording — when you Save, they're joined into one continuous video.
Where are my videos saved?
Straight into your device's Photos library. The App keeps no copy and sends nothing anywhere — everything happens on your iPhone. See our Privacy Policy.
The camera didn't start, or recording stopped
Make sure Camera and Microphone access are allowed in Settings → Dual Camera. Recording can also pause if the phone gets very hot or runs low on storage, or if a phone call or another app takes over the camera — the App will show a message and resume when it can. If a problem persists, email us at [email protected].
